Inside Our Tangential Flow Filtration

The ePILOT® TFF system is a pilot-scale tangential flow filtration equipment designed for demanding downstream bioprocessing and product recovery in the biotech, pharmaceutical, and food industries. With a working volume of 10 to 100 liters, it offers high flow rates, high solute retention, and advanced features for optimal performance during downstream processing in bioprocess. The ePILOT® TFF system is easy to use, with a user-friendly interface and a compact design for easy integration into existing processing pipelines. The ePILOT® TFF measures 1547 mm in length, 525 mm in width, and 1412 mm in height.

The ePILOT® Tangential Flow Filtration system is made of high-quality stainless steel AISI 316L (conforming to ASME BPE SF4 standards) for the wetted parts  and the other components constructed from AISI 304L stainless steel (ASME BPE SF4). This sturdy material construction ensures reliability and longevity. Additionally, the system is equipped with a user-friendly control box featuring a 25-inch capacitive touch screen, providing ease of operation and a streamlined user experience.

The ePILOT® Tangential Flow Filtration system is equipped with versatile multi-way pumps, which have the capability to function as both variable and fixed pumps. This versatility ensures that the pumping power is maintained at a high level, even when operating under low friction conditions, thus providing precise control over the flow rate during the filtration process.

The ePILOT® Tangential Flow Filtration system is designed with an innovative Auto-Sterilization system (AUTO-SIP), which can be activated simply by connecting to a supply of pure steam at 3 bars.

Additionally, the system has been engineered with an AUTO-CIP function, allowing for fully automated cleaning recipes through the use of integrated automatic valves and customizable recipes. This level of automation provides increased efficiency and convenience for the user.

The TECNIC holders, fabricated in-house, are constructed from high-quality stainless steel and have been designed to offer maximum flexibility  by accommodating a wide range of cassette, hollow fiber, and ceramic filters. This allows for optimal optimization of downstream processes, with a filtration surface area ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 square meters, suitable for nanofiltration, microfiltration, or ultrafiltration.

The ePILOT® Tangential Flow Filtration system is specifically designed for the efficient media diafiltration and concentration of a wide range of products in the biotechnology and food industries, including recombinant proteins, vaccines, and monoclonal antibodies. Its user-friendly design also allows for seamless downscaling to laboratory scale, providing versatility and ease of use.

Our equipment is adaptable to a wide range of membrane ceramic and hollow fiber technologies, offering a filtration surface ranging from 0.5 to 2.5m². Our full automated system features valves that are designed to carry out CIP and SIP cycles throughout the entire equipment, including the vessel, piping, and filtration module. To further optimize your process, we have incorporated a 2-in-1 concept with multiway peristaltic pumps that are both variable and configurable to work as fixed pumps.
